Great stop on the way. Simply delicious.
One of the best places to eat in all of Chaffee County if down home "comfort" food is your gig. Portions are huge, food is flavorful, and while it's a food trailer off a busy highway, the enclosed area is nice. BBQ is excellent, and chicken and waffles are amazing. If you're cruising through headed to Monarch in the winter or headed the other direction back to the Front Deranged, you won't regret it.
A great place to eat lunch. There is indoor seating attached to the rear of the trailer. It is a rustic facility, but clean. The restrooms are in a separate building behind the trailer.
I just had the best smoked trout (locally caught) BLT sandwich!
My lady and I were hangry and passing through back home from Farmington. Excellent find I will make sure to stop by again! Fresh cooked to order food amazing.
Fantastic food, no frills comfy dining (winter), and kind staff/owners.
Food here is so so good!! Love this place.
Unfortunately it was pretty dirty with a lot of flies so enjoying the great food was difficult. Also, not real friendly . Pretty disappointing because I want to like the place. Again, great food, lots of flies.
Absolutely awesome food....amazing friendly people..... unique atmosphere. 1000%
The food and service here at the hunger trailer was amazing!!! I had a sausage sandwich and it was too die for.
High quality barbecue food cooked to order. All sides are scratch made, and also of high quality. Very friendly service in a quirky environment. A great little spot for lunch.
I eat here sometimes because the location is convenient. They have excellent French fries but the burger is only so so. They must make things fresh to order because it does take a while to get your food. They also offer ice cream and shakes if you want to stop by for those.
Really great, tasty comfort food. The flavor is outstanding, a perfect place for the outdoor enthusiast as it is very low key. No official indoor seating but it does have outdoor picknick tables to eat at. We will revisit this place again for sure.
Food is great, stop there on your way down from skiing at Monarch!
Seriously delicious soft ice cream!! Dang 👌🏽🍦😋 thank you so much!!
Fantastic place to stop and eat, great service and food was spot on BBQ, with big portions... We will be returning soon...
This is a great hole in the wall kind of place. If I was staying a little longer in town I'd come again to try their lunch. The breakfast was good and they have a huge selection.
The burritos are delicious! A bit spicy but still great!
Great find! We went to the hunger shack side and had a Rueben and a burger. Very good food with very good service. We will be back to try the BBQ.
Eat inside or outside. Or Take it to go. Made to order. They are prompt and friendly. Shrimp basket is amazing. Hubby really enjoyed the Cod basket. The little guy liked his chicken strips. Excellent.
This place is awesome! Best fries I've ever had and all of our meals were incredible. Very friendly family owned establishment. If you don't stop here you're making a mistake
Great food! We stop everytime we go to Denver and on the way back. Bbq is wonderful.
Absolutely fantastic. The food is perfectly cooked, tasty, and comes in generous portions. The staff is always friendly and accommodating. A great place to stop anytime, especially if you're a hungry skiier on your way to/from Monarch.
I’ve had the burger joint and the bbq place here and both are great stop to eat. The bbq place is a better value IMO.
It's just amazing food for very cheap. Would recommend highly
One of our favorite stops for breakfast when we come through town. The owner is SO friendly, the food is incredible, and he is happy to make things custom. Lots of vegetarian and vegan options too! Don’t want to miss it!
We stopped here after a day at Great Sand Dunes National Park heading up to Breckenridge. We couldn’t have been more pleased with our experience. Friendly staff, fantastic food...made for a great evening meal! Even met the owner - super nice man who obviously loves his work! Everyone in my family loved what they had! Eat here!
This place is amazing. The burgers are awesome, service was friendly and fast. Even theirsweet tea is good and I’m from the south!
Amazing BBQ and super hot Tots! Awesome place to stop when you don't want to go all the way into Salida!
Amazing authentic BBQ! Truly a gem. Brisket, ribs, pulled pork were so good! Fries and tots were heaven.
The best Texas BBQ we've had in a very long time! Wish you were closer to Denver!
The service was a little slow, but worth the wait. The pulled pork was moist, had great flavor and fries were hot and crisp. Great food at a fair price and lots of it.
Food and service was fantastic! The Texas Brisket sandwich was a party in my mouth.... get it loaded as they recommend. All other meals ordered were excellent, also! We will recommend and can't wait to come back.
I had their breakfast burrito and it was so good. I highly recommend having breakfast here but if your wanting lunch try somewhere else. My husband had their phillycheese steak sandwich and it was not good at all. Extremely greasy and no flavor.
Breakfast was so good the first day, we came back for breakfast again the next day! Probably the best tater tots I've ever had at a restaurant... the tots were crisp, not oily and the chef isn't afraid to season them (really not a fan of bland food, so loved the salt/pepper on these). Day 1 - breakfast burritos stuffed with all kinds of yummy stuff (sauteed peppers, onions, mushrooms, choice of meat, scrambled eggs, etc.). Day 2 - omelets also stuffed with tons of goodies. Both dishes came with the tasty tater tots. Will have to try their lunch & dinner options the next time we are in the area!
I've driven past this place a ton of times and I'm sorry to say I had never stopped until today. Best fries ever and a great burger. Not a bad price for the burger combos. Awesome.
Food was good but the people working there were not friendly. Too bad!
Food was amazing! Tiny building and the bathrooms were im a separate building but worth it.
I had the sausage and egg breakfast burrito which comes fully loaded with grilled mushrooms, bell peppers, onions, and two cheeses (one being ghost cheese) and a side of crispy tater tots. Absolutely delicious. The dining area is well heated. If you're looking for a filling, country style meal this is the place.
Thank god this little gem popped up on our GPS on a long road trip from the Grand Canyon to Colorado. Got an inkling it was BBQ fare so we looked forward to stopping. Really cool food truck/trailer with built in seating area. Loved the atmosphere, girl working at the counter was sweet and helpful. AMAZING lunch and beyond generous portions. This was a feast after having camped for so long. I had a pulled pork sandwich on buttery Texas toast (toasted to PERFECTION) with a side of Mac & cheese. Husband had a giant brisket burrito fully loaded with fries. We loved every bite - great experience!
The burgers were very good and food came out fast. Ice cream was also good the service was excellent and the people were nice. Great stop for food.
Awesome place for breakfast. I had the smoked BBQ pork omelette fully loaded, which comes with Ghost Pepper cheese. The pork inside the omelette was tender and smokey, just as advertised. It came with tater tots and biscuit, all for $11.00 which is great for that kind of omelette. It's not a pretty restaurant, it's very "road" and "street" like, but a great place for local eats. Would definitely come back again.
Most other reviewers are spot on: delicious eats! Great menu with unique food choices and the food was great for hungry travelers. Their sister company has a diverse menu next door as well, want to check that out next time we're driving thru.
Very good food and super friendly service! The place has a lot of character, making your meal feel like a fun experience.
Delicious and fresh made food. Split an order of the trailer trash, scrumptious. Friendly service as well. Definitely a good stop for breakfast on the way to the mountain for skiing or hiking.
Really great breakfast! The staff here is always friendly! Really fair prices for the quality of food! De and his crew always treat you right!
We came through here while driving to the Sand dunes national park and this is easily the best place to eat in the way there and back! The food was fantastic and the people are great. It was delicious as it's always good to find such a quality place to eat.
Food was awesome. I had the Philly cheese steak sandwich and my wife had the Texas brisket sandwich and we both loved it. Really filling. Our kids got the cod and the Mac n cheese. They were both good, but one of our kids will only eat Kraft Mac and cheese, so she didn't eat it. We sure are it up though. We will be stopping here again when we drive through to try some of the items. Pricing is moderately priced. Deffentily would recommend a stop.
Good food. Was a little slow but then I saw a big order go out.
I had Trailer Trash - smoked chicken breast, topped with sauted shrimp and caramelized onions. So tasty! Chicken tender and gently smoked, shrimps adding great texture and I onions omnomnom (I love onions, and these were top notch). Oh and the beans slided down my throat and leaving a perfect taste trace. Toasty was pretty good too! Service super-friendly and prompt,Setting funky with some motorcycle decor,Conveniently located at road intersections.
